Joshua Walters, PT, DPT.
Director of Physical Therapy
Joshua Walters is a born and raised Texan from San Antonio. He grew up in the DFW metroplex before going to Abilene Christian University for his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. During his undergraduate studies, he broadened his knowledge base of physical training interning as a strength coach and personal trainer on campus as well as earning his CrossFit Level 1 certificate. Joshua also participated in undergraduate research appraisal with the Kinesiology department which initiated his interests in clinical research.
Motivated by his professor’s research in human physiology, he continued his studies at University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Austin, Texas earning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2017. During his studies, he interned in multiple gyms and earned his USA Weightlifting Sport Performance Certificate. He later began working with Team USA during national and international competitions serving on their medical staff, where he continues to work with national and elite level athletes today. Joshua currently travels with our youth and junior elite teams domestically and internationally. He also served as the Assistant Athletic Trainer/Team Physical Therapist for the Dallas Jackals, a Major League Rugby club from 2022-2024
His professional experience focuses primarily in orthopedics and sports rehabilitation, but has been influenced by his time spent in a community chronic pain program as well as outreach programs for Parkinson’s patients and youth concussion care. In the clinic, Joshua takes his experiences and skills from the professional level and brings them to the general public blending his strength and conditioning background, evidence supported practice, and patient centered care to treat the entire person, not just the aches and pains. His goal is to help you get back to the things that matter most.
Dylan Lucas, PTA
Physical Therapy Assistant
Dylan Lucas was born and raised in East Peoria, Illinois where he graduated from Illinois Central College as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in 2016. Fitness and sports have always been a passion of his which led him to a career in Physical Therapy. He, his wife and their two labs moved to the DFW area two years ago. He has experience in all fields and settings of physical therapy but has spent all seven of my professional years in orthopedic outpatient settings. Dylan’s hands-on approach to physical therapy drew him towards getting his certifications in instrument assisted soft tissue mobilizations and therapeutic cupping. In addition, he have extensive experience and training with sports related injuries and joint replacement therapy.
